FAMILY LAW MEDIATION COSTS IN BRISBANE

Mediation is a cost-effective process that encourages the outcome of a win-win resolution for both parties within a short space of time. Mediation costs are typically low as the process usually only lasts one or two days, and the resources required are limited to that of the parties involved.

Mediation fees are usually split between the parties in dispute, furthering the affordability of the process and the hope for a mutually-beneficial outcome. Additionally, research and discovery costs, court fees, and expert witness expenses are eliminated by avoiding litigation.

Deborah Awyzio Mediation offers fixed fee mediation packages.

The DA Mediation Full Day Package

$5,280 incl GST – Full day mediation (face to face)

$4,800 incl GST – Full day (via Zoom)

This package includes:

Full day of mediation – 9.00am to 5.00pm
Invitations sent to parties
Room hire if in Brisbane or Gold Coast
Preparation and perusal of documents
Issuing of Section 60I Certificate (if required for parenting matters)
$605 inclusive of GST (per hour) will be charged if mediation goes beyond the mediation time.

Half-Day Mediation Package

$3,300 incl GST – Half day (face to face) – four hour inclusive mediation plus one hour of reading

$3,000 incl GST – Half day (via Zoom) – four hour inclusive mediation plus one hour of reading

This package includes:

Half day of mediation – option for morning session, 9.00am to 1.00pm or afternoon session, 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Invitations sent to parties
Room hire if in Brisbane or Gold Coast
Preparation and perusal of documents
Issuing of Section 60I Certificate (if required for parenting matters)
$605 inclusive of GST (per hour) will be charged if mediation goes beyond the mediation time.

The DA Mediation Package – Sunshine Coast $5,500 incl GST

This package includes:

Full day of mediation – 9.00am to 5.00pm
Invitations sent to parties
Preparation and perusal of documents
Issuing of Section 60I Certificate (if required for parenting matters)
$605 inclusive of GST will be charged if mediation goes past 5.00pm
Travel to and from the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast
Please note room hire is not included within this fixed fee package

The DA Arbitration Package

This package includes:

$6,600 including GST per day
$605 including GST an hour for directions and preparation
Our Deborah Awyzio will be able to provide a detailed quote depending on what is involved for preparation/directions hearing etc

No Fixed Fee Costs

Intake sessions $150 + GST (per party)
$605 inclusive of GST will be charged if mediation proceeds beyond the designated time
$605 inclusive of GST for the issuing of a Section 60I Certificate
Room hire will be in addition and if in Brisbane is generally $440 inclusive of GST

Online Mediation

We offer a product for people wanting to attend mediation without legal representation, or with legal representation but online. We have partnered with Family Property which provides an online platform to enter information required for mediation which is then used to generate useful tools for mediation including a mediation statement and schedule of assets and liabilities as well as draft consent orders. If you choose this product we will send you a link to complete online information which is confidential to the mediator unless you authorise the sharing of information. The cost of selecting this option is $2,600 for half-day mediation and $4,500 for full-day mediation.

Family Property allows you to upload relevant financial documentation for the attention of the mediator, so all relevant documents are available on the day of mediation.
