Deborah Awyzio is a nationally accredited mediator, arbitrator and approved family dispute resolution provider under the Family Law Regulations.
Deborah is also an accredited family law specialist and a qualified solicitor with nearly 30 years experience in family law exclusively. She was the founder of the firm D A Family Lawyers and is highly respected in the industry among her professional colleagues and former clients.
This respect is demonstrated by Deborah’s’ elected professional positions. Deborah held the position of Vice President of the Queensland Law Society for 2014 and 2015, was formerly the Queensland solicitor member for the executive of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and a past president of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland. Deborah continues to hold the role of Senior Counsellor for the Queensland Law Society and provides ethical guidance to Queensland solicitors when required.
Deborah has undertaken mediation training at Harvard Business School and conducted hundreds of mediations in Family Law, as well as franchising disputes and estate disputes.
Deborah is recognised as a leading mediator and family lawyer on the Doyles list, which details individuals who have been specifically highlighted for their expertise, experience and reputation among their peers.
